CSR

At Jerat Fashion, it is our firm belief that a company can be financially successful, whilst still giving back into the communities they work in.

We take our responsibilities as a corporate entity very seriously and this has led us to actively seek out means and ways to enrich the lives and minds of the people we work amongst.

Education

Knowledge is power, and it is our belief that to grow great leaders for our future generations, there is no greater gift than that of education. Jerat Fashion have launched a number of educational initiatives designed to enrich the young leaders of our future.

HIGH-SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

We are presently implementing a five year plan towards developing the SM High School with the goal of transforming it into the best school in the area. Jerat Fashion has already provided the students of the school with a fully-fledged science laboratory, extensive library, an assortment of musical instrument to nurture creativity. In addition we have invested in ceiling fans and office equipment for classrooms and administrative departments.

Community

At Jerat Fashion, our pledge is simple; to be the catalyst for sustainable change in strengthening our communities. Our commitment towards improving the lives of the less fortunate lies in enriching them through opportunities today to build the skills and talents that will enable them to face the challenges of tomorrow.

Missionaries of Charity, Mother Teresa’s Joytinibash

Established in 1991, the Missionaries of Charity home provide care, education, training and support for the elderly, the differently abled, poverty stricken and orphaned children. At present the home supports over 85 people of all ages. This home has been identified as a project Jerat Fashion hopes to support over a period of time, thus enabling them to provide assistance to even more people.

Work Done To Date:

  •     Providing food for the patients at the missionaries.
  •     Assistance to maintain the operation of the missionaries (e.g painting the buildings, providing ceiling fans).
  •     Donation of furniture for the missionary orphanage.
  •     Donation of clothing to the patients of the missionaries.
  •     Toys for the recreation and development of the children in the home



Future Plans:

  •     Operational: Repairing of road to missionaries, painting of all buildings, more ceiling fans for medical/female canteen, cupboard for patients/dispensary.
  •     Health & Hygiene: Providing water supply system, Water heater/towels for medical section, Cooking utensils for canteen, Clothes and slippers for patients.
  •     Recreational: Toys, music system for ward.
  •     Training: we will set up a vocational training center for sewing machine operators.


Spectra School of Autism

Jerat Fashion has partnered the SPECTRA School of Autism, a Project of Foundation for Autism Research & Education (FARE), a project focused on education and training for autistic people and creating opportunities for autistic children. The school currently supports approximately 38 children of all ages.

Initiatives taken by Jerat Fashion:

  •     Establishment of "Jerat Fashion Techno –hub", a long cherished dream for the Autistic children’s IT knowledge .
  •     Training cost for one year.
  •     Monthly donating 50,000 BDT to bear the expenses of the teachers and staffs of Autistic school.


Future Plans:

  •     Training: To train autistic children on vocational and life skill, so that they can compete in the fast moving world


Jerat Fashion Bangladesh Apparel (Pvt) Ltd has now successfully implemented the recommendation of the ISO 26000, Corporate Social Responsibility Guideline.

This International Standard provides guidance on the underlying principles of social responsibility, recognizing those principles and engaging stakeholders, on ways to integrate socially responsible behavior in the organization. ISO 26000 emphasizes the importance of results and improvements in performance on social responsibility in the 7 core subjects stated below.
